The Beverly

Located within The Beverly in Singapore, this private residence uses lighting to complement the home’s refined interiors and create a sense of comfort throughout the day. Rather than making a statement of its own, the lighting works alongside the architecture, enhancing materials, textures, and the overall mood of the space. 

Throughout the living areas, lighting is layered to bring balance and depth to the interiors. Ceiling downlights provide focused illumination for artwork, joinery, and architectural details, while concealed cove lighting introduces a softer layer of ambient light. Together, these elements create a calm atmosphere that shifts naturally from day to evening. 

Casambi wireless control was selected to give homeowners flexibility without adding complexity to the home. Using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh technology, lighting control is distributed across the network, removing the need for central control panels and extensive control cabling. This allowed the system to be integrated discreetly while maintaining the clean lines of the interior. 

Lighting can be adjusted easily through wall switches, smartphones, or tablets, allowing different scenes to be recalled depending on the occasion. Brighter settings support entertaining and daily activities, while warmer scenes help the home transition into a more relaxed evening atmosphere. 

One of the advantages of the wireless system is its adaptability. As needs change over time, lighting groups, scenes, and controls can be updated without major renovation work, allowing the system to evolve alongside the home.
